HOW TO JOIN a ministry!

We are excited about your interest in ministry at Orchard Beach Assembly!  This letter is to inform you about our ministry placement process and to assure you of our desire to do our best to help you get started. 

We have many ministries and are constantly striving to develop new ones to meet the needs of people in the church and community.    We are very interested in discovering, with you, what part you may play on our ministry team.

Throughout the process, we’ll pray for God to lead you to the area He has prepared you for!! “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”     Ephesians 2:10

The procedure for placement on our Ministry Team:

            Step #1:    Review a complete list of ministry opportunities on our church website:   https://www.orchardbeach.church/next-steps/join-a-team/

            Step #2:     Fill out the attached Ministry Application (note:   clearance forms are only necessary if you desire to work with minors (anyone under age 19).   

            Step #3:     If your area of ministry interest is with minors, you must have been attending Orchard Beach for a minimum of 6 months and clearances are required.  

                             Clearances must be received before serving in areas with minors.  The 

                             following clearances are required:    

                             **Child Abuse Clearance 

                             **Criminal Record Check

                             **National Background Check

                             **Signed affidavit if you have lived in the state of Pennsylvania 

                             for the past 10 consecutive years OR the FBI clearance if you have not 

                             lived in the state of Pennsylvania for the past 10 consecutive years (church will 

                             reimburse for FBI clearance once it has been received)  

Step #4:    Submit your application to the church office as soon as possible.   You will then be directed to either meet with a staff member or department Coach to discuss your area(s) of interest and receive orientation.
